President:  (executive)  taken
-shall prepare the agenda and preside at all general meetings and its Executive Committee meetings.
-shall also help the other officers with their duties

Vice President: (executive) taken
-shall preside in the absence of the President;
-shall assume official host duties. These include being responsible for the speakers’ gifts as well as greeting and introducing speakers and special guests;
-shall coordinate local programs by reserving rooms, contacting and confirming speakers and arranging for refreshments, when applicable.
-In charge of T-shirts

Secretary:   Already taken (executive)
- shall keep accurate records of the proceedings of the general meetings;
-shall keep a current database file of all members;
- shall keep an updated copy of this Constitution, the TSTA-SP District II Constitution and the TSTA-SP State Constitution at all times;
-shall keep all records of membership and attendance;
-shall keep records of all functions; and
-shall prepare and submit a monthly report to the Association President, TSTA-SP District President, TSTA-SP Senate President and the TSTA-SP advisor.

Treasurer:  (executive)
-shall be responsible for the safekeeping and accounting of all funds;
-shall provide financial reports at each Executive Committee and Representative Assembly Meeting;
-shall be responsible for checks drawn on the bank account of the Association; and
-shall be responsible for sending membership into the TSTA-SP State Office

Officer Duties


Public Relations:
-shall distribute local, district, and state publications;
-shall be responsible for publicity of the Association;
-shall produce any Association publications;
-shall be responsible for organizing and maintaining special committees;
-shall be responsible for organizing and maintaining the Association’s bulletin board.

Historian Officer:
-shall take pictures for all events
-update and maintain the scrapbook
-submit pictures to Public Relations
-bring scrapbook to meetings for members to look at

-create and purchase craft materialsFundraising Officer:
-shall coordinate and plan all fundraising events
-coordinate door prize drawings

Community Service:
-shall plan and coordinate all community service events
-provide a typed list of all community service opportunities to members
-submit Community Service opportunities to Public Relations

Political Chair:
-shall check TSTA and NEA website regularly for political updates
-prepare meeting newsletters and write a political update for the newsletter
-plan and coordinate and political action on campus
-plan, coordinate, and purchase the PAC basket for state convention
​
Social Chair:
-promote networking within the organization
-help everyone with their roles
-plans the end of semester parties, as well as other social events
